ABOUT
Born in Riga, Latvia, in 1992, I’ve dedicated my life to creativity and innovation. Over the past 14 years, I’ve established myself as a tattoo artist, business owner, and mentor. My career has been shaped by a commitment to hard work, creativity, and continuous growth as both an artist and a leader.
I began my artistic path at the Liepaja High School of Music and Arts, where I studied art and design. However, my passion and skills emerged well before formal training, enabling me to take on a professional role at a graphic design agency early in my career. This experience provided me with valuable insights into branding, visual communication, and creative problem-solving, which laid the groundwork for my transition into tattooing.
In 2011, I found my true passion in tattooing, and I have spent the years since refining my craft across a range of styles and building lasting relationships with clients. My career highlights include being voted best in my category at the prestigious London Tattoo Convention, an internationally respected event that draws over 400 of the world’s best tattoo artists. This recognition reflects my dedication to quality and creativity in every piece I create.
What truly sets me apart is the unique tattoo style I’ve developed, inspired by nostalgic cinema, cyberpunk, and Japanese culture. This style blends modern aesthetics with timeless influences, offering something new and exciting to the tattoo world. At the same time, I’ve mastered other styles, such as traditional old-school tattoos, black-and-grey realism, and neo-traditional designs, giving me the versatility to meet the diverse preferences of my clients.
Throughout my career, I’ve also embraced leadership roles, running my own studio, Princelet Tattoo, in London since 2022. As a business owner and mentor, I’ve created a collaborative environment that has fostered the success of multiple apprentices, many of whom have gone on to thrive in the tattoo industry. Teaching and guiding new talent has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey.
My experience extends beyond tattooing. I bring skills in business development, strategic planning, digital marketing, and creative software. These have enabled me to grow my brand, manage my studio, and connect with clients effectively. I also have a deep passion for the automotive world and enjoy channeling my creativity into vehicle customization. In my personal time, I stay active with hobbies like painting, Jiu-Jitsu, hiking, road trips, motorcycles, wellness, fitness, and travel. So far, I’ve visited 16 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America, experiences that continue to inspire my work and fuel my creativity.
While working in Latvia, I had the privilege of building strong connections with Canadian military personnel stationed at the NATO training camp in Ādaži. Many sought me out based on word-of-mouth recommendations for my skill and professionalism, and I remain in touch with some of them to this day. These connections have been a rewarding reminder of how art can bring people together across borders and cultures.
As I prepare to relocate to Kelowna, British Columbia, to work with Rocky Mountain Tattoo, I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to the local community. I believe my diverse skill set, mentorship experience, and unique artistic style will bring something fresh to Kelowna’s vibrant tattoo culture. Whether through creating meaningful tattoos, guiding new talent, or supporting the growth of the studio, I am eager to embrace new challenges and opportunities in Canada.
